This is the starter gaming monitor that gets the important parts right without costing what a console does. The 24-inch size fits smaller desks, and at 1080p the pixels are tight enough that text stays readable while your graphics card doesn't have to work overtime pushing frames.
The screen refreshes 165 times per second, which is nearly triple what regular monitors do — enough that you'll notice the difference in shooters and racing games. Pixels switch fast so you don't get motion blur trailing behind moving objects. The IPS panel means colors look consistent even if you're sitting off to the side, and the picture doesn't wash out like cheaper screens do.
The HDR label on the box doesn't do much — treat this as a regular bright display and it'll serve you well. At this price that's expected.
